Jellyfish  Room

The Jellyfish Room offers a program for 20 children from 6 weeks to 2 years old each day. Staff ratios are 1 educator to 4 children. Consistency of educators, particularly with young babies is important and therefore remains constant each day. All nappies, food and drinks (except baby formula), are supplied by the centre. The room is equipped with a kitchenette where staff can heat bottles and baby food if necessary.

The Jellyfish Room has a separate sleep room allowing staff to accommodate children’s various sleep requirements.

For most children, beginning care means beginning a new and different way of life. Children all react differently to change. Some will respond enthusiastically, interpreting the new experience as an opportunity to be with new people and to enjoy new activities in a new environment.

For many other young children however, beginning care can be an unfamiliar and bewildering experience and for some it is very frightening. To ensure a smooth, safe and secure transition from home and family to a care environment we offer an individualised orientation process which is determined in collaboration with parents prior to the child’s first day
