Welcome to Edrington Park Child Care Centre & Kindergarten

Edrington Park Child Care Centre and Kindergarten (EPCCC) is a family owned and operated child care facility situated in the heart of Berwick, Victoria.

On behalf of the EPCCC community, we would like to acknowledge the Bunurong people of the Kulin Nations as traditional owners of this land and the first carers and educators of children at this site.

EPCCC is committed to ensuring a high quality early childhood education and care facility that is available to ALL children allowing parents the opportunity to work, study, and participate in the general community with the knowledge that their children are interacting within a safe, secure and happy environment.

The educational program and practice provided by qualified and experienced educators is stimulating, engaging and enhances children’s learning and development.

Early childhood education and care facilities operate under a national quality standard that is linked to a national learning framework which recognises that children learn from birth.

All educators and staff of Edrington Park Child Care Centre are informed and guided by the National Quality Frameworks in the delivery of nationally consistent and high quality experiences, programs and care.

Collaborative relationships with families are fundamental to achieve quality outcomes for children.

Becoming a parent is one of the most important jobs that any of us will ever have, yet it is the job for which we find ourselves least prepared. The changing role of women in the workforce has resulted in parenting and caring roles being adopted by grandparents, child care educators, and other significant people.

Educators and staff of Edrington Park Child Care Centre provide a supportive and collaborative relationship with parents respecting their values and beliefs.

Bush Kinder

Bush kinder is based on the forest school concept which originated in Europe. Its aim is to get children outside and immersed in the natural environment regardless of the weather.

The children utilise what nature has provided to develop their physical, emotional, social and cognitive abilities with educators taking a back-seat role and allowing the children to take the lead in their learning.

Our bush kinder sessions are held at Akoonah Park and we have identified a particular space that has natural boundaries and a variety of interesting elements to stimulate the children’s interest. No toys are brought to bush kinder. The children use only what they find in nature.
